Rovectin is a cosmeceutical skincare brand which comes from luxury cosmetic laboratory in Santa Monica, CA, USA with over 25 years of history. The brand name comes from the Latin word reversi, meaning "to go back to where it was". Rovectin promises that their products are free from irritating ingredients and are especially formulated to sooth and revitalize even the most sensitive skin types.
The brand's philosophy is that skincare is a journey. Your skin does not transform overnight. They also firmly believe that healing is better than hiding so be ready to steer away from the mass quick fix products in the beauty market and dare to join Rovectin's slow skincare revolution.
The company began when they developed a calming cream designed to treat sensitive skin of cancer patients from the drying effects of cancer treatments. This calming cream has come to be known as the Rovectin Anti-irritant Barrier Repair Ultra Cream. I was lucky to be given the chance by Style Korean to try this product out.

My Experience
Packaging
Rovectin Anti-irritant Barrier Repair Ultra Cream comes in a 50ml tube with a pinkish tone. The color matches the shade of the cream itself, which is a great touch. Packaging makes it hygienic to dispense the product without any problems. The Rovectin logo is also embossed in the tube, classy. Important information is clearly indicated in the box and the tube including the expiration date. I also love that it comes with a leaflet that has a more detailed product description.
Scent
There is no noticeable fragrance which makes this great for scent-sitive people.

Texture
The cream is extremely light-weight. I did not expect it's consistency to be a gel-cream hybrid because it does not look like it at all. It reminded me of the texture of the Klair's Soft Airy UV Essence (review here) which I loved. Shade is beige-pink, a similar shade to the tube.
Application
Rovectin Anti-irritant Barrier Repair Ultra Cream glides smoothly upon application, leaving my face velvety soft. A small amount can cover the entire face. It also absorbs well into the skin so make-up can be applied immediately after. I used this on my full face as a day moisturizer ever since I received it. It doesn't feel oily nor sticky at all.
It comes with a capped nozzle. |
Results
After using this for a few weeks, my face seems more hydrated and moisturized throughout the day. I think that my skin has really been healthier and stronger, and this product is the one that I credit for it. I felt that it has repaired my skin barrier. I probably damaged it using a cleanser with a high pH level daily (which I now learned not to do). No breakouts can be attributed to this. It did not make my face oily nor clogged my pores. It's seriously so light-weight. Skin really feels velvety soft to the touch. Pores looks slightly smaller too. I did not use any pore minimizing product so this one is probably what has been doing it.
My Thoughts
PROS:
I was really scared to fall in love with Rovectin Anti-irritant Barrier Repair Ultra Cream because when I was looking at the price, it's incredibly expensive. I still did though, I fell hard for it. I even gone as far as naming this as my Holy Grail moisturizer. It made my skin condition better. I actually felt a significant impact on my skin's overall health. Seriously, it is the best effecting moisturizer I have ever used.

Due to it's price though, I will only be saving this for special occasions or when my face needs a hydration boost. If you have extremely sensitive skin, the price is definitely worth it as this product does everything it claims to do. Honest products are the best, right? Out of the three products sent over by Style Korean, this is my absolute favorite.
Repurchase?
Yes, if it goes on sale though. *crosses fingers*
